Horsebox Builders in Ribble Valley, Lancashire

It’s not often I’m really impressed by a company, but Piper Horseboxes really have been perfect to deal with. I started looking for a new horse box early in 2025 and spent several weeks doing research. There were only a tiny handful of horsebox builders who I could find nothing but good reviews for, and Piper was one of those. Having spoken to my shortlist on the phone i found Abbi very easy to deal with and straight talking, so placed my order. Nothing was too much trouble and the box was designed around my horses requirements, even making sure cupboard measurements were correct to fit my tailcoat and mounting block into. The build quality is absolutely exceptional and what you’d expect from a really top end box. For example every corner is curved so that the horse cannot catch itself on a sharp edge, the ramp join and hydraulic arms are all covered so the horse cannot knock itself, and the whole side of the lorry is welded to the main frames front and back, so there’s absolutely no flexing of the panels like you see in so many Horseboxes. Everything I asked for was included, like a collapsible breast bar, and the colours were carefully selected, with lots of help from Abbi , to make sure they matched my competition outfit. Finally Abbi and Connor drove the box all the way to Cornwall, overnight, in horrendous weather, to bring it to me, and then spent a couple of hours explaining how everything worked to me. Absolutely exceptional service! I’ve already recommended Piper to several friends and two have already placed orders. I’ve now had my horsebox for 5 months, using it at least twice a week, and everything is still in excellent condition, so they’re really built to last. Thank you Piper for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely thrilled with our lorry..............where to begin? From the second we made the call, we knew we had come to the right place. We had to down size from a 7.5 t to a 3.5 and were totally in the dark about what to ask for, what was essential, what would be nice to have. I can't remember how many conversations I did have but I never felt that anything was too much trouble. I think it is very rare for sure, where there is so many unknowns, to have so much time dedicated into getting us exactly what we wanted. And we got exactly what we wanted and more.

I have to commend Abbi - she spent so much time with us and was always going to make sure it was right for us - she was remarkable and I never believed that she ever once, rolled her eyes whenI asked some fairly mundane questions...........right down to the preferred seat piping colour, of which there were about 4 different options. I don't recall anytime she told us 'no.' Just more and more suggestions were offered to ensure we had made the right choice and were totally satisfied.

We were and continue to be thrilled with our lorry - it is so well built and feels both sturdy and safe. It is surprising, that once you start looking around the show ground you notice just how many flimsy, bad builds there are - the finish and the metallic ensures that it looks beautiful - inside and out.

I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Piper to anyone. Beautifully built, created by craftsmen. I am more than happy to answer any queries relating to our beautiful build.

Piper Horseboxes were amazing to work with from start to finish in building our new dream Horsebox. They went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was to our exact requirements. Throughout the build process they were in constant contact and happy to make any changes or offer suggestions. They delivered the box to our door and even came back to make a few alterations and additions, including adjusting the partition to make it easier for me to move and painstakingly replacing the mirror which unfortunately broke on our first outing.
